1. Ingrid, Shimmy and Sage are the Monarchs, they can do whatever they want. Fortunately, whatever they want is rarely, if ever, arbitrary.
2. Talk to the Monarchs. They are nice and like talking to new people. They are here for you to ask questions, do not be afraid to ask questions! It's also a good idea to keep contact with the Monarchs, because then you'll be informed in what's going on in the RP.
3. You get three active characters. GesMa has a loose "arc" system, with dominant storylines. So during any one arc, you can have three characters who are running around and doing stuff. Which means you can apply for many more than three characters. Use your head, don't try to collect twenty characters just because you can.
4. Play nicely with others. If you don't like how something is going on, talk to me. If it's about me, don't spend five months building a mutiny against me. Talk to the Monarchs. This is a small cast game, so working together is essential to its functioning. If someone is upsetting enough people, they will be removed from the game.
5. This RPG is officially rated PG-13. But it is asked that applicants are at least 16, simply because of maturity. The Monarchs are not going to ask you to list your age, because it's easy to lie. However, they will not be held responsible if it is discovered you aren't 16, and you get kicked out of the game.
6. Follow the basic rules of role playing. Those would be no power gaming, no killing other characters without permission, no forcing relationships upon characters, and playing your character according to your application. If you do not understand all of these, it is suggested you find a different game.
7. We use a three strike system. One month of inactivity is a strike. Now this does not mean that you always be in a story, but if you have been tagged and do not reply for a month, that will be a strike. Not responding to any inquisitions the Monarchs make over a week why you haven't replied is two strikes. Not replying to the second e-mail/notice within two days is a third strike and removal from the game. This follows for any other contact made by the Monarchs, particularly if a decision is resting on what you are doing, or what you're not doing. If you need to make a leave of absence, just contact a Monarch and leave a post on the forum.
8. To prove you've read the rules, there will be a question at the end of the application. The answer is "Because Warren wills it so."
1. If you're going to be absent or on hiatus for more than one week, please post so on the boards or explicitly inform a Monarch. ("I might be busy" doesn't count. "I won't be able to post in GesMa for a month," does.)
Failure to do this will result in a strike after four weeks. Not replying to the e-mail/notice about this within a week is a second strike. Not replying to the second e-mail/notice within two days is a third strike and removal from the game.
2. Check the boards at least once a week. This includes logging into your account so you may view the hidden boards. The main purpose of the hidden board is to discuss anything that we don't want non-members of the game contributing to the conversation. (As that has been a problem in the past.) It's also a place to discuss anything in the game that might be construed as "drama," such as players leaving or going missing.
Failure to do this will result in a warning for every week of absence.
3. Post to your stories, especially for main game stories. As stated in the rules, you have one month to post to your main game story. Please don't constantly push this limit.
Failure to do this will result in a strike. Not replying to the e-mail/notice about this within a week is a second strike. Not replying to the second e-mail/notice within two days is a third strike and removal from the game.
4. At the end of each story arc, players will be requested to review their profiles and make sure they are up to date. (Especially in history, and small things like updating your character's age.) Once you're finished with updates, show it to a Monarch to get it okayed.
